Noah, a poor man, falls in love with Allie who comes from wealth. They are forced to keep passion for each other aside due to societal pressure and a difference in the social stature of their families.
So I watched The Notebook for the first time today with E and we both bawled our eyes out like babies. If you’ve seen the film you will understand why. Maybe you’ve read the book by Nicholas Sparks.
It’s a beautiful love story about growing old together set in the 1940s with the present day scenes set in 2004. Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams have incredible on screen chemistry.

This film is also where the “What do you want?” meme comes from. It’s often used when a couple are trying to decide where to go for dinner or what to eat.
