Remember I was late to the party watching Star Wars, so I’m not about to tell you how incredible the movies are because you already know. 😉
Here are my notes from each watch of Return of the Jedi.
First Watched: 2017
The first time I watched Return of the Jedi was 2017. This was around the time I went to see Rogue One at the cinema and had been playing a lot of Star Wars Battlefront 2015. My note was simply “LOVED IT!”.
2024
The second time I watched it I literally googled ‘the one with the Ewoks’ because I couldn’t remember which film it was and had to see that epic dance party at the end haha. The Ewoks are adorable, so of course I was coming back for more.
2026
My go to Star Wars film always seems to be New Hope, but in prep for The Mandalorian and Grogu film, reruns of all the films are showing on Movistar+.
It’s a cozy Sunday afternoon and Return of the Jedi is showing, I shed a tear saying goodbye to Master Yoda and laughed at all the Chewie scenes. He’s so vocal in this episode, he reminds me of my dramatic Yorkshire Terrier. Especially the scenes where his hair is dishevelled, it’s 100% yorkie core.
This film is heavily referenced in the Star Wars Battlefront 2015 game, character movement, sound and scenes. I’ve played a little over the years but watched my husband play a LOT of the game, so this film gives me all of the feels. Best watched with a soundbar and subwoofer!
The Battle of Endor is SUPERB! I had actually goosebumps watching the AT-ST chasing the Ewoks through the forest.
That celebration at the end! WOW!! I wonder if the cast thought this was the end of the story…?
