Summer for me so far has seen plenty of hot days, filled with beach tennis, coastal walks and intense games of Mario Kart 8. On completing all of the cups, I’m glad to see Nintendo have some goodies on the way for us karters.
The Mario Kart 8 Mercedes Benz DLC was available from Wednesday 27th August 2014 and will unlock a series of Mercs.

There are 3 new cars:
- Mercedes GLA
- Mercedes 300 SL Roadster
- Mercedes W25 Silver Arrow
Mercedes Cup
This add-on content was FREE and also coincided with the Mercedes Cup which ran everyday from 27th August – 23rd September 2014. To join in with the Cup just make sure your Nintendo Wii U is hooked up to the internet to play online, select One or Two player internet play on your Mario Kart 8 game menu, then Competition and Mercedes Cup.
This is one to look forward to and a nice end to the Summer. It looks like we can even customise the Mercedes to a degree as the video shows a few different colours.
