Harry Potter and The Bullet Journals
Geek Life Lately: the one where I invested in the full set of Harry Potter books, went to see Rogue One at the cinema, got zombie flu and made the nerdiest bullet journal stats ever.
Here in Spain, we celebrate and exchange gifts on 6th January for 3 Kings Day, I received some wonderful pijamas and bought my dog some toys that he refuses to play with. He would much rather play with an old stinky tennis ball.
I enrolled at a local language school to improve my Spanish. I go to 2 classes a week and am really enjoying it. It’s a small class of about 6 so we really get a lot covered in a one hour class. I’m also using Duolingo in which I reached level 11 Spanish. Yay!
Harry Potter
My Fiancé got me the LEGO Harry Potter game for the PS4 and I think it’s wonderful. It’s the first LEGO game I’ve played and I can’t wait to check out some others like LEGO Jurassic Park and LEGO Batman. Of course I haven’t played as much of it as I would like because alas, I haven’t finished reading the books yet so I didn’t want any spoilers.
I bit the bullet journal and ordered the complete set of Harry Potter books on Amazon. I did already have a set of Harry Potter books but it was just the first three in a small set. I didn’t want to be left hanging after reading The Prisoner of Azkaban! I have a Youtube video in the works about my Harry Potter experience so look out for that in the near future.

Let me just tell you I have been sorted into Gryffindor! I made sure to read Philosopher’s Stone and Chamber of Secrets first. I also bought a copy of Philosopher’s Stone in Spanish!
Star Wars
We finally got to see Rogue One at the cinema! We also bought the hugest bucket of popcorn so that we would get this limited edition bin thingy with AT-ATs and a Death Trooper on it.
I thought the film was amazing and sad. The Scarif scenes were my favourite, I’d been anticipating them since they appeared in the DLC for Star Wars Battlefront. Of course the last scenes were a surprise and I did shed a tear but also air punched at the same time.
Besides taking home a Star Wars bin, my Fiancé and I also came down with zombie flu the next day, so I didn’t do much else for the next 10 days.
Nintendo Switch
Despite having the Zombie flu we managed to wake up at 4am on Friday 13th to watch the Nintendo Switch presentation. The next day we woke up feeling awful and went to pre-order it at our local GAME. If we had ordered online it probably wouldn’t be here on release day. My Fiancé is a life long Zelda fan so of course we had to order the special edition Breath of the Wild game too.
Are you hyped for the Switch?
Bullet Journal Geek
Late last year I discovered the world of bullet journaling. I’m going to make a separate post geeking out about the world of ‘bujo’ (that’s what we call it ?) because there are just so many nerdy elements to it and I want to take you along for the ride. It’s basically a style of journaling that helps to get shiz done.
January Level Up:
In my bullet journal, I made some really cool daily trackers, where I colour in a day if I completed a task, ate chocolate, studied Spanish, you get the idea.
Here’s my gorgeous pear Filofax, it’s a5 size and is just amazing. It’s brilliant for blog planning and stashing all my ideas. The pink LFC journal was a gift from my sister, which I use to jot down my daily thoughts.
Because of this, I have some nerdy statistics for the month:
Out of bed before 10am: 8/31 days
Reached Step Goal 7,000: 3/31 days
Ate Chocolate: 26/31 days (doing well at this one) ?
Ate Fruit and Veg: 14/31 days
Read a Book: 14/31 days
Studied Spanish: 11/31 days (took 4 classes and studied at home 7 days) ??
Played video games: 7/31 days (need to improve this)
Wrote a blog post/Created content: 12/31 days (obviously not for this site)
Drank Coffee: 3/31 days (Those first 2 sent me into a coffee buzz)

Off the Leash: A Dog’s Best Friend
Films Watched:
Star Wars: Rogue One (Amazing)
Star Wars: Return of The Jedi (Loved it)
