In the lead up to Christmas and New Year, it seems beauty companies are fighting for the top product that will banish these unwanted sun and age spots. Garnier have had adverts rolling all week on tv so I thought I’d check it out their Garnier Dark Spot Corrector when I saw it in the supermarket today for 9€.

I used a tester in the shop and it smelled lovely, you can certainly smell the citrus, (all dark spot faders seem to have a lemon extract in them).

Garnier Dark Spot Corrector

I’m really stingy when it comes to buying certain things, like a t-shirt, mascara or a food item but one thing I won’t scrimp on is products that claim to fade dark spots. I have melasma you see, a patchy occurrence on my face, mainly on my forehead but if it’s hot outside I sometimes have a fancy moustache! If you also have melasma or dark spots then you know what I’m talking about.

Factor 50 SPF is part of my daily ritual now although I wish I could go back to my 21 year old self and begin using it then. Until time machines are available to use freely like public toilets then I must use a dark spot fade cream.

In the past I’ve used cheaper versions, which worked for a short while but then I discovered a brilliant solution online from the USA that was discontinued because of a high content of a certain chemical. So I was on the lookout for a new miracle cream

Note: There is no information about the SPF in this product although the lady in the supermarket assured me it was SPF 15. That’s not enough for me for daily use, so I will be using it of a night time only and my usual SPF 50 during the day.

Garnier Dark Spot Corrector is available on Amazon UK and Amazon US although the packaging looks different to mine which was bought in Spain.

I’ll let you know how I get on and if I see any results. Have you had success with Garnier Dark Spot Corrector?

UPDATE: I saw a few results with this product but I think my melasma is that bad it wasn’t going to make much difference. If you have very mild dark spots then this will probably work for you. Bear in mind I live in a very hot climate and the sun is unavoidable so if you have the option of staying out of the sun give this a try.
