Let’s take a look at all the games I played in July 2024. I even managed to get two PlayStation platinum trophies! Find out what games have been getting attention at Cuteek HQ lately. This is a new series on here as my monthly Geek Life Lately blog posts have been getting too lengthy once I start writing about gaming. 🤣
Gary the Snail and the Apocalypse
LEGO Jurassic Park has been keeping me entertained this month along with the Spongebob event in Stumble Guys. Speaking of Spongebob I grinded The Cosmic Shake a lot this month, so much I even dreamt about Gary the snail and the apocalypse.
It’s an awesome game but there are some parts that made me rage quit. The Halloween levels have been my favourite so far which I played in two chill sofa streams without mic or cam. It was fun trick or treating and exploring the spooky levels.
Trophy Hunting
I needed an easy win and a cute game so I played My Friend Peppa Pig and got the platinum! Look out for a review on that, it’s in my drafts lol.
I won a copy of Mother’s Day Journey in a giveaway. It’s a card match game on PS5 and I earned the platinum in that one too. The most difficult level required some old school pen and paper notes which was amusing.
A Weird Idea I Had for a Video Game
I had a really random idea for a video game while I was in the shower. Game name is You’re In (get it, Urine?) and you play as a water drop and journey through the urinary tract fighting off nasties as you go. Level ups are antibiotics, health potions and cranberries. End boss level is a huge kidney stone called Big Pete. 🤣
Fitness Gaming
Basketball finally came to Nintendo Switch Sports! I had a lot of fun checking this new sport out and even won my first game 9-0! It’s been a while since I did any proper fitness gaming, I enjoy it so much.
My First Giveaway
Outright Games (who I’m an ambassador for) sent me a copy of My Little Pony A Zephyr Heights Mystery. I even did my first giveaway to win a copy of the game which was so awesome. I will be doing more giveaways in the future, it’s so nice to be able to give back to this lovely community.
The game has been a lot of fun and surprisingly a LOT of play in it. Don’t expect to platinum it in a couple of hours! I did roll credits and get to the end of the main game but I need to do a bit of clean up. There are SO MANY side quests! This is one I will come back to.
Fall Guys Update!
Fall Guys did a MASSIVE update in July and one of the changes was finally syncing up the trophies! I was so happy because I popped a majority of them on PS4 when I first played Fall Guys. Now I only need to get the Track Star trophy and I can get my plat! I did a Fall Guys Duos stream and racked up some triple fame points.
I heard some hype about the game Daxter so I dropped it a download and was disappointed. The game doesn’t play well on PlayStation 5 at all. The camera is too slow and super clunky. It was fun to earn a few trophies but I won’t be hanging around to platinum it.
Among Us was added to PlayStation plus library for July. I still haven’t played it but at least I have it saved in my console.
What games have you been playing this Summer? 🎮🏖
Did you see anything mentioned in this post you’d like to play?
