December was a fun month for gaming, most of it from the sofa with twinkly lights on the Christmas tree for extra cozy vibes. Here’s all the games I played in December 2024:
Disney Dreamlight Valley
My husband has heard me raving on about this game and surprised me with it for Christmas! I have to say now I understand what all the hype is about. Dare I say I like it more than Animal Crossing?! 🫣
I guess it’s probably because I gravitate more to my PS5 than the Switch. DDLV is everything I hoped for, it’s giving me those magical Disney vibes, making me want to rewatch all of the films and I even find myself bursting into song. If I’ve been brainwashed it’s not a bad thing lol.
This is such a lovely game and I have played it daily since Christmas day. It might be difficult to write a review as it has never-ending quests and realms to unlock so I don’t think it’s a game to finish much like ACNH but that’s not a bad thing.
Barbie Project Friendship
Barbie Project Friendship – continuing my playthrough of this game on YouTube, hope to wrap it up soon as it’s getting a little repetitive and with the other games on my list it will be nice to get the platinum on this and write my review.
I found the tennis mini game surprisingly difficult and maybe it’s a skill issue on my part but I’d really like to get 5 stars lol. (thanks again to Outright Games and Mattel for sending me the code for this)
Animal Crossing Pocket Camp Complete
Animal Crossing Pocket Camp Complete – sadly I can’t play it on my iPad anymore as it’s old, so it’s not giving the same cozy vibe for me. I don’t like taking my phone to bed so now I only click on it when I remember.
Sackboy: A Big Adventure
Sackboy: A Big Adventure – started playing this live on my YouTube channel and having a lot of fun with it, it plays SO nice on the PlayStation Portal! Over the holidays I convinced my husband to do 2 player mode on this as we’ve been having a blast with it. It’s perfect to chill out after work.
Kena: Bridge of Spirits
Kena: Bridge of Spirits – I found this while looking for a game to play on the PlayStation Portal from bed and didn’t want to get up to turn the PS5 on, this game is included in the cloud based games so you just need to switch the portal on.
It’s a nice game and gave me some Breathe of the Wild vibes. I was just a little too far away from the router so once we get a WIFI extender I’ll probably play more of these cloud games from bed.
Other games I played
Stumble Guys – I haven’t played as much of this as I’d like to over the Christmas holidays but hoping to catch up on it soon.
LEGO Fortnite Brick Life – this is a new SIM style LEGO game inside the Fortnite game. It’s very cute and while it could keep you busy for hours. Disney Dreamlight Valley is winning lately though so I don’t have for other SIM games.
What games have you been playing lately? 🎮
