On This Day 2020

  • Random Thoughts
    • The state of alarm in Spain is ending in 2 days. Apparently the mask rule will stay after the state of alarm finishes. I went clothes shopping for first time yesterday and felt quite safe.
    • I’m looking for a good food tracker app for the Apple Watch. Might go back to MyFitnessPal, it’s worked for me in the past.
  • The Diary of a Social Media Manager
    • New Twitter feature alert Audio Tweets. You can keep on scrolling as you listen to certain tweets. New? Weird? Good timing with my podcast ideas.

On This Day 2018

  • 100 Days of Code: Day 2 Round 2
    • Changed the colours on this adorable penguin using CSS Variables. This penguin and the thought of what I can do with code as I learn more has inspired me to keep going.
    • Brushed up on Hex codes and RGB values
    • Note: I’m really enjoying this.

  • Update: I found this ancient blog post on WayBackMachine from 2007 where I talk about learning HTML and CSS by tinkering with Myspace hahaha.

  • I deleted Facebook off my phone so the time I wasted on there, I’m going to be on SoloLearn app or Duolingo. I’m planning on an hour of code each night and read up on how to build a point and click game. Got to start somewhere, right?
  • I’m thinking of making an adventure or puzzle game since I grew up playing Monkey Island, Zak McKracken and recently enjoyed Thimbleweedpark and The Darkside Detective. I’m feeling very inspired right now.
  • I’m hoping to get a lot of coding done this week. I just finished my Spanish classes for the Summer so I have a bit more time now. I know if I do too much in one day I’ll be neglecting other things such as my Spanish studies or working on blog posts. It’s important to give the brain a rest too.
  • We are dealing with moths at the moment, they are somehow getting through the mozzie mesh.

On This Day 2017

  • Minimalism Journey:
    • Having a digital declutter this afternoon.
    • Deleted old books from Kindle and iBooks that I’m never going to read.

I’m on holiday! I still have to catch up on last week’s Pretty Little Liars.
