Afternoon Tea

  • The Diary of a Social Media Manager
    • I had a great day off yesterday and thought I was going to be so productive today as a result but it’s taking me a while to get into a flow today. No idea why but I guess it happens. I’m going to continue giving myself a day off from the computer each week, it’s so easy to work through when you WFH but I need to change this. It was actually nice feeling like I had nothing to do.

    • I think we’re going to need masks for a while.
    • HBO sub now cancelled, means I can get Spotify Premium again. Hashtag: Skint Blogger 
    • Sometimes living on a little island off the west coast of Africa feels like being on a different planet.

    • Pookie by Aya Nakamura. I can’t understand French but love the beat! I first heard this on Vinicius Junior’s TikTok.

    • Studying instead of watching #WWDC because I’ve accepted that I’ll always be 3 iPhones behind and I’m totally fine with that.
    • Considering going back to a Nokia 3310 for personal use so I can switch off from social media a bit.
    • Painting my nails and listening to ahrefs Academy Blogging for Business course. “Passive consistent traffic is the key!” #multitasking

  • Random Thoughts
    • GoodReads feature idea: virtual achievements or trophies for pages read or for genres like a spooky sticker for reading x amount of thrillers.
    • I’m wearing a Fuerteventura surf t-shirt today (I can’t surf though haha)
    • I’m letting my bags accumulate a bit before I take donations. The charity shop will be sick of me otherwise.

    • New game: blogging while racing against a fidget spinner.

Received an email from The Body Shop telling me about their new line of Mojito products! Shut up and take my money!  It sounds really fresh for the Summer.

We had afternoon tea at Box Tree Tearoom in Burscough Wharf. This place is so beautifully decorated and my Mum couldn’t wait to take us there. I had rooibos tea with a wedge of chocolate sponge cake.
